Christmas comes to my house next week. I found what I believe to be a very good deal on a Dremel 3956 Multipro that's got all kinds of goodies with it. Flex shaft Right angle attachment Lawnmower / garden tool blade sharpener 77 accessory bits. and got it all for under $90.00 (includes shipping)
So, my next question for you dremel users is ... [glow=red,2,300]What kind of bits do I need so I can use my new toy to shape rocks?[/glow]
I think I got all kinds of Christmas stuff very early this year so am hoping I can make some nice Christmas gifts with my toys. [glow=red,2,300]~ Cher ~[/glow]

HI, Cher!!
You might want to check your local WalMart....I got that same Kit with the Flex Shaft and everything for $69.97
I upgraded to the Dremel 400 XPR (the best model they make at this point) including the flex shaft - for $79.97 a couple of weeks ago. It will come with everything you would need except for Diamond Point bits, which are needed for the harder stones. For softer stones, the bits in the Kit will probably work.
I have ordered diamond point bit kits for less than $10 on ebay. There are lots of different choices and sizes - you can pick what is best for you.
Just didn't want you to spend money unnecessarily if you have it at your WalMart....and you could have it alot sooner than next week ;D
If you have any other questions, just let me know! Bren

Already got it. Tried checking at walmart.com but couldn't find it. Checked Sam's Club too. Finally found some info at AceHardware and the price still beat everything else. Guess it just goes to show that internet shopping isn't all what it's cracked up to be.
Oh well, considering the wear and tear on my vehicle and the cost of the gas to drive to Walmart and the fact that I hate shopping there unless I absolutely have too, I think I still got a good deal.
Did your kit have the right angle attachment too? I couldn't find any kits online that had that attachment with them.

Thanks! You are the link queen! I don't have a Home Depot any closer than 50 miles so I'm glad I didn't have to go there.

PS. What would you prefer to be called? Mooney, Mooner or ?? Sorry, just seems kind of funny calling you either of those but I can't find your name anywhere.

You're very welcome Cher, my real name is Anne ;D
I just like to browse all around always looking for some type of info! I realized that even if I'm new, there are some things in which I could be helpful and have fun while doing it! You are going to like the dremel tool, specially if you get the flex-shaft attachment which it's lighter and makes work a lot easier! ;D

Hi Anne Yes, I got the flex shaft with it. My plan is to ask my family for attachments like the drill press, diamond bits, stuff like that for Christmas. I'm pretty excited, can't wait to get it. Have to go find some of the diamond bits on ebay so I have something to start with. [glow=red,2,300] ~ Cher ~[/glow]

Hey guys, I got the diamond bits for $9.99 on ebay myself. You get what you pay for, but for 10 bucks, it OK. Every time I use one for any amount of time I have to throw it away afterward, but it's 30 bits for 10 bucks, what the heck. Don't use them often enough for it too matter that much. If you plan on using the dremel a great deal, I'd invest in better bits. I also use a variable speed "dremel like" hand held that I got for $9.99 on ebay. It's holding up fine. I like my stones to be as natural as possible, so I don't shape that much. Would, however, love to have the flex shaft if I ever need to use it more.
