Hmmm... my first thought was that it could literally be from anywhere. After studying it closer I think it might be of California Franciscan formation origin which doesn't narrow it down by much - maybe Stony Creek / Burris Creek etc. The features that lead me to this thought are the "dirty jasper" which is a term I coined a few years back to describe a breccia that never really gets organized and is filled in by a cloudy gray/white agate that often resembles translucent quartz. Also that red/orange solid color is VERY prevalent in the Stony Creek area.

Tommy that yellow is almost identical. realrockhound the texture is different from the RB I currently have. This being "grainy" (there's probably a better word) feeling, the RB being unbelievably smooth. Well I have a huge hunk of it, like a half split load of bread.

I meant to write that the picture I posted is a zoom of your photo to show the area that looks like breccia to me.
