Does anyone know some of the most common locations in the Western US where birds eye rhyolite might be found?

It's found in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. There are similar rhyolites like rainforest from Austrailia. Spiderweb and rose eye rhyolite are found on Malheur County OR. Lillypad is from Oregon between Madras and Redmond, but since Jared did a YouTube video on it I think all you will find is holes and a few dumpster loads of trash.

I got a metric crap ton of that spiderweb rhyolite. Even some of the better original Lilly pad from madras. But you’re not going to find any if you go out looking now, or at least anything worth your while, just to save you some troubles. Spider web is found in heppner oregon, incase you were curious

realrockhound am I correct that the rose eye comes from the same site as the spiderweb? I got some from a dealer named Klaus who would dig with the claim owner when he came for shows. It's some pretty stuff.

It's some pretty stuff. I'm not entirely sure on that one to be honest. If its the stuff that has a similar pattern that i'm thinking of, then yes. I know there was another one that was more of. pink ish color.

Grandview Gold Mine site near Lucerne Valley, CA has lots but the color is kind of ehh, kind of gray and white tones. Area us full of Mojave Rattlers too.
