I’m going to set my selection on a heating pad. The cabs don’t pry off. Might try acetone as well. gemfreak95

I recommend a hot, soapy water soak.

I'm doing two tests removing the cabs from the tape.
The first is a 30 minute soak in hot water and dish soap and I am waiting on that. The second is acetone which I completed. I use superglue to dop and remove it by applying acetone with a q-tip and scraping off the glue with a x-acto chisel blade. The acetone applied with a qtip will loosen the tape after the other side is peeled off the cardboard. Doing it one at a time is labor intensive.

30 minutes of soaking dissolved the cardboard. Tape held, another 15 minutes and the tape still held. I don't know how long a soak is required, but it now involves pulling the tape off the back of the cab rather than trying to pry the cab off the tape which is tough on the fingers and the cab.

I soaked my taped cabs in very warm soapy water. Didn’t want it so hot it would crack the cabs. Kept adding more and more hot water. It helped. I think I have only 3 cabs left stuck.

I had good luck peeling the tape from the cardboard. It came off in a strip, cabs still attached. From there, it was easy to separate the cabs from the tape.

Get the tape off the cardboard first. I'll have to try that later this week. I have to say that in person my 2 selections were way better than the photos.

I apologize to everyone that has had difficulty getting their cabs of the tape. Over three years ago I used this technique to ship earrings to a silversmith customer and she had no issues. Maybe she used a torch. From a previous order she couldn't find an earring so I wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. I taped them and sent her an email with a picture of the order.

I'd much rather spend some time peeling tape than picking up pieces of a broken cab.
Admittedly I'm a n00b and don't know any other better way to do it, but they all seemed secure in shipment to me. Doubt you'll have a single break in all these many shipments.

I received my shipment of lot #20 today, and they are so gorgeous!!! If you are on the fence and haven’t ordered any yet, well I’m sorry but you are missing out! I will try the method of removing tape from cardboard, then stones from tape. Hopefully I won’t have any trouble. But, that is Super Duper Strong tape.

I just finished removing all my stones from the black tape, then it popped into my head to see if anyone tried placing the whole cardboard sheet into freezer for 5-10 minutes? I wondered if that might make it easier? Anyhow, I am so in love with my stones, they are all awesome. It really pays to bop over to marketplace every now and again. Even when you think you might not need anything. Thank you Stephan

Dang. I need the evil eye of Mordor. Please mark me down for 22.
Can I ask for it to be set aside so I can order a couple more selections and have them ship together?
I can't imagine I won't be buying more 😆
