I had an issue with my Everclean. It was a part that is sourced outside HP. The part went to hell and dumped almost all of my saw oil on the floor and a coffee can that was underneath fortunately. I contacted John and he put a guy named Zeke on the case. Zeke not only took care of the bad part but sent me a jug of oil to replace the oil on the floor. The new part works great and Zeke made the problem much less painful than those girls who you can't understand and who ask 10,000 questions and don't do anything with the answers. Hopefully Zeke will take over the CS and ordering from them and bring the company up to where it was in the 60's and 70's.

There is little service in customer service. Covington was good routing problems to technicians. A lot of support at HP is watching youtube videos. Getting to a person who can help is ideal.

It will never be the 40's through 70's HP, it's a different world. Plenty bad and some good in that. I think you already heard my HP girl story, so I can relate even though my order was a pretty small parts order. Do you think if you hadn't made the videos and had an audience that you would have got Zeke to help? I can imagine that whatever Zeke is doing when he doesn't get pulled into damage control is probably more important to John than CS. All that said, to those who have decided to take the HP saw plunge, consider the new 12" saw if that's your size. A friend from the NW rock club got one, so I watched the introduction video from John. I have to say that the vice carriage featuring some of the best features from a number of saws is pretty impressive. The cross feed adjustment is a much more refined version of what I have done with a couple old HP saws. Hopefully Zeke, or someone like him, is doing QA and watching fit and finish on this one.

I'm glad someone has had good service from HP. I feel like they're more interested in taking my money than giving me answers. Hopefully the part lasts a long time.
