Appears idyllic. Sure doesn't look like what I experienced, but then I played that game year round for a few years in northwestern Wyoming until I came to my senses.

I get a crack out of all these women live off grid videos. Then in their about section, they link their onlyfans. There is one account where the gal runs around damn near naked 😂

This is basically how Ma Ingalls (Little House on the Prairie) and the likes of her lived life... out of necessity. Except they did it without the accolades of an audience. I watched a few episodes of this show that were posted here and I did find them interesting. It would be nice to get away and enjoy the quietness of that place. I just think it’s odd that our current society views this as novel. The way we currently live, in constant comfort… that’s what’s novel!

Yeah, take it from someone who did it for real and had to work to make a living at the same time. Little things like mosquitos or ants would shut this foolishness down in a heartbeat.
There's nuances that show it's fake such as having sleeping quarters in a draw next to a creek. Cold air funnels down the draw all night and freezes your butt off and if you go up out of the draw just a little ways it's significantly warmer. You don't learn this stuff unless you've actually walked the walk.
Call me very skeptical.

For anyone interested in a story about a guy who truly lived off grid, the story of Dick Proenneke, “Alone In The Wilderness”, is really interesting. There’s both a book and documentary movie.

In a SHTF situation, I can live off grid awhile, but it won't be in the wilderness.
I do like go "rough" camping. I usually wear my clothes. LOL
When my son was about 6, he sat on a pile of fire ants in shorts without knowing it. We ended up in the ER. You don't even want to know what happened to his bits!
