Way to go on those! If those were done hand-held on the cabbing machine, I wouldn't think that was an easy task! Those look turtle-icious!

Then cleaned up the wax on back by hand since she didn't want the backs polished. Which brings up a question. If you have something small like this that is hard to do without dop sticks and want both sides polished, can you do it by putting a dop stick on the side you polished first and then polish the back? I tried one when I was doing this but just to see if the wax would come completely off on the polished side, which it did after freezing. Not sure if it would stick well enough to polish the second side without falling off. Might have to use superglue and then touch up by hand? I was going to attach a pic of the stones on sticks but couldn't figure out how to do it in a quote. Is there a way to do that?

I was going to attach a pic of the stones on sticks but couldn't figure out how to do it in a quote. Is there a way to do that? The only way I've figure out how to add a pic from Cloudinary in a quote is to use the "reply" button...then upload the pic to the reply...go to the BBCode tab...copy the link the upload created...then close that. Then I use the quote function...go to the BBCode tab when I want to insert the pic and paste the Cloudinary link in there. It sounds confusing...and difficult...but once you do it a time or two, it becomes easy-peezy! There's been a bunch of discussion about dopping finished stones to polish the backs of cabs. I use super glue with metal dops...so it's pretty easy to get the dops off by heating up the dops with a torch. I just do the back of cabs by hand...when I actually polish the backs...

I use dop wax on the front of my polished cabs to grind & polish the back of my cabs without a problem.
If a little of the wax sticks out of the freezer, just have some alcohol handy to get it off.
