Last month was a great challenge! We saw lots of different takes on the Halloween theme. This month, rockbrain has come up with another cool challenge. This time out make a jewelry project that has some hammering incorporated in it.
Have FUN! remember, it's not a contest but a way to step outside our boxes.

For awhile, I did a deep drive into silver smithing. It's all packed away, I just don't have the room for a proper work area... unless, of course, I take my grandaughter's room....  Hmmm... |

I always feel like it's nice to have a spare bed when she visits or her father. I don't know- I'm torn. We're a really close knit group. It's hard to let go. TMI |

Sorry, but we believe in putting company on the floor on foam mattresses. Plenty comfortable- no one seems to complain - but on the other hand they don't look to live here, and we're OK with that. Patty.....cutting no slack tonight  |

Back to the drawing board! I made this cab a while ago and I've always liked it. Finally decided to wrap it and did a hammered wrap. I was just finishing up pushing the back end tight and pushing the prongs over on the front with a piece of wood and snap the cab in half!   |

You can see a little chip right in the center. It snapped right in half!

I was on a roll with wraps this weekend. I completed 8 up to the point of patina. I did a similar one to this one that I think came out better. BTW, that was not my entry for the challenge, unless you want me to pick wrapping a broken cab for next month's theme!
