I hope they don't drag their feet about distribution and dispensaries like NY. NY legalized a couple years ago and the state brags about the fact there are currently 12 legal recreational dispensaries. Twelve for the entire state!! Nowhere near enough.

It's sorta kinda legal here. You can still get a ticket- unless they did away with it. I think there is one dispensary in the whole of Tidewater. At least, last I checked. I know they plan on a lot more. I use gummies for pain and extreme RLS. Not too often, though. I don't like being high all the time. But, it certainly does work for both.

Looking forward to Jan 31 - retiring from DoD and leaving my security clearance (and periodic drug testing) behind. Can't wait to see what cannaboids do for my pain and appetite.

I drove 150 miles one way yesterday to get some tincture and gummies at an MA dispensary. I start some chemo next week or two and stocked up. The MA dispensaries have a much wider selection than any of the few NY dispensaries. I never eat the gummies by day but they do seem to ensure a good night's sleep even if in some pain. I figured it was easier to go a 300 mile highway round trip than the 60 mile round trip into NYC where the selection is poor and have to deal with city traffic and parking.

Thanks Pat. Went to doc today, seems like I will not be a long time member here. Hopefully I'll learn how to post photos this winter so I can show off some of my work.

The power of prayer is a wonderful thing. I will be praying to G-d to come up with a miracle for you. I would love to see your work, too. Please do post some pictures.

That is one actual good thing, we already have medical and the law is set up so that medical Dispensarys can easily permit to selling for recreational as well. But that is a non issue for me as i plant to grow my own anyway.

Of course there's really no such thing as legal weed until the Feds change the law. I was a long time daily smoker. Like pretty much since high school and I'm 68! In the last several years I've pretty much not missed a single day until I went on vacation to Florida in May of 2020. Dried out for a week and a half. Wanted to cut back and that worked for a while but went back to excessive consumption nightly. Quit on our trip to Florida this year in April and just decided to not start up again. Gave all my paraphernalia and leftovers away and haven't touched it again. I'm kind of surprised how easy it was for me.

Dunno, NY had medical for some years before they legalized recreational and they are not just automatically making the medical places be allowed to sell recreational. They are still dragging their feet about who, when and why people get licenses to open recreational shops. NJ also had medical for some years and they legalized recreational a year before NY and they still hardly have any recreational shops. I surely hope they do better in OH!

Thanks, I already tried to follow those instructions and did not get it done. I have signed up for cloudinary but haven't figured out how to make them make the photos smaller but maybe in the near future I will try again.
I wish to thank you and those who wish me well and those who pray, I really appreciate it. I saw oncologist Tuesday and was told I am terminal with maybe a year to go if I do the chemo thing, less than six months if I don't. Scary and depressing. One of the bad parts is they told me the chemo will likely cause neuropathy in my hands, meaning I won't be able to cab or make jewelry while so affected.

Maybe Tommy or another member can help. I have never had cloudinary do that. A work around is to post your large picture, open the BBCode tab on the bottom of your post screen, and change the dimensions of the image to something smaller than 100%. You will see "100%" in the line of code from cloudinary. Then switch back to the Preview screen to see if you are happy with the result. You can always change it again.
I am so sad for you that you got that diagnosis. What a hard choice to make.

gunsilI live in NY. Here is a link to the NYS Office of Cannabis Management Website's list of recreational dispensaries - currently there are 25. This may save you some driving. cannabis.ny.gov/dispensary-location-verificationAlso there are many medical dispensaries and one may be closer to you... cannabis.ny.gov/dispensing-facilities...get certified...if you have cancer then you qualify...just need to see a medical provider who can certify you. Good luck with your health challenges...

Thanks Jone, none really near me other than the city and they have more tax and hard to find parking. The main thing is the NY shops just don't have anywhere near the selection the MA shops have. I got several month's worth Tuesday in MA. I just don't feel I need a med card, all that really does is give me access to stronger gummies. A friend had the NY med card and all she was allowed was 10mg a day, not very much.

Thanks again. I am still too nuts over the diagnosis to deal with posting photos here. Hopefully when I figure out how to deal mentally with my situation I'll try again.
