I figured since you spent the time to load all those pics, I'd spend the time and "like" each one of them! *Now you'll have 57 "like" notifications...if you're set up for it! LOL I hadn't actually counted them, too god damn many.
FYI it only goes up to 50 notifications, but your probably knew that already I didn't really count! LOL You know...83.762% of all statistics are made up on the spot!

No big surprise some of the smallest rocks were finished first, I'm half convinced I need to let this go one more week in coarse. That tan layer might lead to more red, but the damn thing is so small already....
Legit could not get my auto focus camera to click this fella. I ran it a few extra weeks to see if anything interesting anything underneath, but nothing going. Did take a nice shine.
Still pretty convinced this is not a "Bahia" maybe from the same bed. Not the ugliest rock I've ever tumbled.
A very old Bahia I've been working on for a long time....first pic was from 9/11/2022 LOL. We've been at this a while, was ready to pull the trigger a couple months ago, but a dead/soft spot showed up on the crest and I figured it had been this long, why not strip that down and wait it out.

2 years?!?! Are you tumbling with cotton? Large agates could take quite long to finish. Tumblers also could have their vacations

2 years?!?! Are you tumbling with cotton? I thought 80 meant 80 cotton balls, then 220 cotton balls etc.
Lesson learned

Maybe I'm crazy for putting them in weighted order, but I feel like I saved myself a huge headache in syncing the pictures later. Plus I kind of like doing it . 209 was my quick count, more in the box on the chair. I want to run some kind of contest, maybe closest to guessing the total weight off this box. I'll let you guys know.

Just one minor update this week....
I kind of had to call it on this one, the quartz face was the only outstanding part of the rock.
Can you tell it's nearly half the original weight? I didn't realize until I weighed it
Don't want to say I bit of more than I can chew with this project, but I'm not going to make a part time job out of it either

Port of Entry RWA3006 For you Randy, my mind was pretty blown by your info...
Meditative for me

I thought a lot of things while editing and cycling these photos, some more profound then others... But it's late now and the wisdom is fortune cookie level so I'll just leave these here for another, person, rainy day, moment of clarity.
Good to have a place to clear my mind either way.
RTH ROCKS
Not necessarily my favorites, rather I thought these were the best photos.
Often the rough is a better subject then the finished product.
I'm a little worn on this project and I have family visiting next week, a good excuse for a small hiatus.
Regrets on critiquing others artistic endeavors and scale of projects.
2 sides of the same coin...

Wow you are officially the king of Bahia to manage to document so many pieces of agates. I really like the idea to polish the surface of this piece. It will be a perfect bowl to hold some other small rocks.

Thanks, I've learned some tricks when trying to organize and prep and how to take quick pictures most importantly 🙃 I see a one eyed zombie monster, maybe it'll still make a nice bowl
