I get comfortable using the nova and galaxy wheels by DP.
The 2024 prices are getting crazy, i thought they were crazy before?
Not only dies there always seem to be a shortage of one grit or another….
I think they went up almost 45 bucks a piece since
Last i bought em..
They couldn’t cost more than 25 bucks a piece to mass produce for the Novas
And they want over 200 ea

I bought six-inch Novas from John at JS Gems 17 years ago.
His RTH-friendly price was $91 when they were usually something like $105 elsewhere.
Currently $120 at Kingsley North.

Baltic Abrasives, HP Lapidary and Johnson Brothers are alternatives. I bought some recently from HP at their BF sale. I bought a 280 grit rez from BA and it has held up well. The last DP wheels I bought were odd ball stuff on ebay.

I bought six-inch Novas from John at JS Gems 17 years ago. His RTH-friendly price was $91 when they were usually something like $105 elsewhere. Currently $120 at Kingsley North. I miss John! He set up at Desert Gardens in Quartzsite each year! |

Diamond Pacific wheels went up again January 1, and the dealer discount went down. Some of the online vendors still have not updated their price lists yet, they may be selling old stock at the old price,but when they run out and have to replace them the price will jump again.
Just fyi if you are looking to get some at the old price.

I have been using the textured J-Bros 80 grit textured wheels on my primary little Cabmate material remover and no complaints there. Want to send some DP wheels to Earth-Brite in Idaho for recoating on the Nova wheels, and maybe a set of rez wheels for the new cabber.

Just FYI I have heard from several reports that Kurt does real good on the lower grits, but the higher polish grits have had lower grit contamination in them and leave scratches when you are trying to polish, so for right now I would just go for the lower rough grinding grits. Tony I was thinking of having him do a couple of my 280 wheels with 230 like DP used to make for Rons Rocks. I figured everything I supply needs to be a finer grit than I ask for. |

I was looking at prices this morning on KN, 157.55 each. That's quite a jump. Does that mean vendors will raise the price for their cabs? |
