I hope those huge, beautiful stones are still there for the public to enjoy 50-years from now...

Nice stuff! I absolutely love that area. It's an amazing coastline, that's for sure. I love exploring it! I think it's interesting that one beach will be nothing but sand, and another beach, just a quarter mile away, will just be covered with rocks like this!

Thank you for following the rules and paying the dog tax. Nice pics of rocks too! Thanks! Last year I mentioned in a post that I went out with my dog and heard plenty about posting pictures of him. Now, whenever I'm out with him taking pictures of ANYTHING I always nab a pic or two of him, just in case!

Oh yeah...dog pics are just as important as the rock pics! LOL What a gorgeous area to hound! Completely different environment than what I'm used to...so I love seeing the pics of the "outside" world! Thank you for posting these!

I never know what I will find when I go out to the beach, which is different than what I read some people are doing in Oregon or Arizona. In those places people are looking for a specific type of agate or thunder egg or something. When I'm out at the beach I'll find a cool rock, but never find another one like it again. It makes it frustrating in a way, but also more special (like I found some treasure or something).

However, most of the areas I go hounding is where ancient "river tumbles" are eroding out of the ground...so it's a bit of a treasure hunt like you've got.

I'm working on a MFR box exchange with another member of this forum and I love the idea of sending local rocks around the country. I'm especially looking forward to seeing what all these talented people do with them!

Thanks! I'm enjoying the idea of exchanges, if you want to do that? Or I could send you a small box of these if you're interested?

Thanks! I'm enjoying the idea of exchanges, if you want to do that? Or I could send you a small box of these if you're interested? Yes! That would be cool. I could do a small flat rate box of stuff. My daughter has 2 birthday parties on Saturday, so Sunday is the soonest I could get something together. Shoot me a PM this weekend and we can figure out a cool trade!
