I haven't really used this site all that much, which is sad because it's a great place, but I'd like to know the proper way to post photos in a comment or a quote. Like what photo hosting works to where the photos show up in the comment or quote? I would use Imgur for everything else but I don't know what hosting sites are allowed here. I also don't want people to have to click a link that directs them to a hosting site.

Hi, I think we all agree with you - having to click on a link to view a photo is less desirable than viewing the photo in the post. Most 3rd party photo hosts have a way for you to copy the actual photo URL (ending in .JPG or .PNG, etc.) and I think Imgur is no exception. If you want to be able to click on the 'Cloudinary Upload' and upload photos directly into the post (via a widget that uploads it to Cloudinary) it's super easy - just have to edit two fields in your Profile with info that points to a free account that we provide.
