well for 2 wks i've been blaming everyone for getting the nut that screws the lortone lid on my barrel - cats, husband, child, visitors - nobody's been exempt. so i got one off another barrel and kept going still blaming everyone for getting my nut. checked my barrels today and lo and behold the missing nut has been tumbling! should have started it at 120/220 as the 60/90 was a little hard on it . it still screws on but i'm not gonna trust that. don't want my rocks and sludge making a mess. i'm not telling my family i found it especially my husband. i blamed him the worst because he'd cooked some fish while i had the barrels ready to recharge. kim

[glow=red,2,300]ROFL[/glow] This is too funny. I did the exact same thing the other day when I was recharging my barrels. Hunted hi and low for the darn thing, but couldn't find it. Decided I'd best look in the barrel and there it was. Glad I found it, I don't have any extras.

Nice shaped. What are you going to use to polish it, cerium or tin oxide?
