Hey everyone, I will be listing a friend's collection of slabs over the coming weeks/months with a portion of sales being donated back to RTH, so bid high & often. This auction will close at 1pm CST, Friday February 16, 2024. Auction Terms: - All slabs are from a private collection and collected decades ago (old stock). Since I did not collect this myself, some identification is best guess. If you seen an incorrect ID, please let me know as I don't want to misrepresent anything!
- All auctions will run for 7 days (end time will be listed)
- All auctions will be listed in US $$$.
- Orders within Canada will ship via flat rate box ($20-35 CDN for up to 11 pounds, size dependant)
- US shipping at actual Canadian cost with tracking & insurance from postal code S0K 0A0 (Yes, Canada!).
- Payment via Paypal/e-transfer. Well concealed cash is fine too, at your own risk.
- If you have any more questions, please ask! I aim to make people happy but I'm not a mind reader. Yet.
Shipping to USA is approx. $16 CDN, 3 pounds is $26 CDN (I'd adjust this to US equivalent). Slabs are approx. 1/4" thick. The smaller slab is 5.5" x 4.5" and the larger slab is 4" x 6". Wet:

Looks like lizard skin jasper Agreed, AKA lizardstone - it originates in the Burro Creek area.

No interest in these eh? Bummer! If I may offer information that's stopping me from bidding, it's a bit hard to commit to a shipping cost that's potentially greater than the product being auctioned. If they were done in larger lots that would make better use of a shipment box and thus make the transportation cost a lower relative percentage of the total cost, I think you'd get better results. I've never done this before so take my opinion for the little that it's worth, but that's why I sat out for these first three.

iamchris I agree. It’s why I bid on all auctions available, to save on shipping. Need to feel like I am filling up a box and getting the most cost effective shipping.

I was thinking of putting up auctions of 1-2 pounds of slabs at a time later on (closer to when I know I'm actually going to the US and can mail them there) so people can save on shipping, I just don't know when that will be. I know shipping is brutal and it sucks.

Don't feel too bad Mel, I recently mailed a package to my daughter which weighed 1.1 oz and it cost me $5.25... on the flip side I mailed a package to my other daughter that weighed almost 5# and it was $11.25. doesn't make sense
