You beat me, I'm still wavering on mine. Maybe I need to scrape paint for inspiration

It's a big 47 x 26mm moonstone that orients best on the horizontal. Don't know what I'm going to do with it, though.........

Are you planning silver or cooper ? Moonstone sounds sexy - maybe you need to lay on the couch, to have a more horizontal perspective !

I want to fuse something. Too lazy to solder. I'd have to dig some stuff out.

Go, Tela! I've got my cab and design (sort of) worked out, but I managed to contract RSV virus beginning on the 5th. I'm almost over it but bending over a wrap-to-be causes uncontrollable coughing. Maybe with enough Robitussin I'll get through it!

After being so sick for 3.5 weeks or so, feeling well again feels like turning back the hands of time. I feel 20 years younger!
Take your time, though. We have a couple weeks left.

Take your time, though. We have a couple weeks left. Thank you, Tela, I'm definitely getting better and wonder if you had the same thing I had, sure glad you're over it! It is truly irritating to have something like this interfere with your life! At worst I will post a photo of the cab and the "sort of" design I have--my designs always seem to change. But I'm hoping for completion.

Being sick for a number of weeks definitely has a toll on any creativity,
I'm impressed that you are even thinking on a cab & imagining some kind of wrap for it alone. Work on feeling & getting better, the darn wrap will wait !
Today being the vernal equinox, I'll wish you a Happy Spring

Thank you so much for your well-wishes, Patty! I am slowly, ever so slowly, getting better. This one has really kicked me--I haven't had so much as a cold in over six years, and all of a sudden I'm a whiny little child wanting someone to make me vegetable soup but none of the dogs, cats or birds are volunteering. I will conquer, I will!

Here's my wrap for this month wider than it is tall. Plasma agate with copper. What a different and interesting concept! I LOVE it!!

Done, with 3 days to spare ! I had a bit more of a struggle coming up with a horizontal wrap, that I liked.
The first one I did, Tom deemed it "suitcase" looking, and then I couldn't stop seeing that specific cab that way, so I had to move onto something else.
This one was inspired by the cover tutorial from a book, by Erika Pal. Although her cab was round & the outer woven band hugged the stone - but the general concept came from her.
I'm OK, with it, I like the front good enough, but I have this fetish about backs & although this one works, it's not my finest.
The stone can actually move, although it's impossible to get it out of the wrap, but I'm not sure movement is good.
But I think the wrap is interesting, and I might have leaned a thing or two in the process, so not a bad thing.
The stone is self collected from Red Top Mountain, Georgia - maybe "Red Top Conglomerate"
Thanks for the challenge-keeps me pushed to get something done at least once a month

Very nice! I like that orientation on that cut. I like the back... you're too hard on yourself. As for the looseness, as long as it keeps position, it should be fine, I think. As usual, your weaving is very nice- keeps getting better!

It can try, but I'm certain it can't go anywhere . Patty

Nice, Patty, and, as usual, I love your weaving work! You've done a phenomenal job with a difficult cab.

Yay!!! I got mine done! It's in the tumbler. I didn't think I would get one done in time. I've had a lot of house guests. It's meant to go on a necklace that I won't get done. I don't have any beads for it- I don't think.

I hope you're feeling better Patty
