I pulled this beautiful little rock out of one of my tumblers yesterday. I have no idea what it is or where it came from, but I don’t think I found it as I typically don’t pick up rocks this small. I’ve been getting so many different types of rocks lately from folks here on the forum, and I’ve also bought a few pounds of smaller mixed rock as well to use for tumbling fodder. I’m just hoping to find out what it is so I can get more.

aDave suggested petrified palm root. We have lots of petrified palm here in Texas. Even though I don’t intentionally pick up small rocks, my kid sure does. So maybe that’s where it came from…

There are so many similarities with my Little Rock, so I think you may have nailed it. Oolite. Kind of rolls off your tongue…
