What a neat design.
The swingarm gravity saws like this have been around awhile, but never seen one this deluxe. Kinda makes me wish I still had access to the fabrication shop at the place I retired from.

I like the built-in glove but that’s a helluva lotta saw to cut little aggies.
He’s got good oil flow to one side of the blade but not the other.
He also needs some sort of cushioned catcher on the left side of the blade so he doesn’t have to stand there waiting to catch every offcut with the glove. They could easily chip or break hitting the deck, get wedged between the deck and the blade, or fall deeper into the sump.
He doesn’t cover it but it looks like that chain drive would allow you to roll bigger rocks during the cut.

Agreed on all, the rotating vice was the most intriguing to me, as well as socket caps everywhere with the wheel/handle for them. Adding a Y to the oil delivery tube would be easy, along with a slab catcher shelf. |

I wonder how many agates slip a bit in the vise. My experience says that the smaller the rock the more difficult clamping it securely becomes. This is especially true with the more rounded pieces.
With all the neat features I would have thought that a better rock clamping method would have been designed.
