khara It was a killer day, cooler in the higher elevation but still nice. Not much to report on, but still had fun checking it out. It's some kind of gifted open use land that has been converted into a dirt bike playground. We were smack dab in the middle of the traffic, but everyone was mindful of the handful of rockhounds up there. Apparently an old site east of Mt.Vernon where geodes were easily found, there were a half dozen people chipping away at the walls, so there must be some material still being found. Material was kind of like Ohio Flint without any of the good stuff. Still had fun checking it out, but nothing there to really perk my interest

Starguy Not much to see at the pit, but we did stop at the Stillaguamish river and checked out a couple river banks to see if there was any potential and I'll definitely be back to spend some more time there. Only about 1.5hrs from my place.   Saw a cat on a leash, ideas for another day...  Best pull of the day my GF found 5 mins in.

Did you bring a rock home? Yea I kinda forced myself to find something, I'll tumble them and probably keep the best ones as a memory. |

Looks like a nice day. I agree, I think the river location would be my preference as well. I did yard work. Almost as enjoyable. Nice to have the nice weather finally showing up.👍

Best tip I ever got: Don't play leap-frog with a unicorn! Well...I actually didn't get the "tip"...because I didn't do it!  Here's some others: Trust dogs. They always know who to stay away from. If you hear weird noises in the night, simply make weirder noises to assert dominance. If you find a toilet in your dream, don’t use it. No matter how nice the hand soap smells, don’t leave the restroom smelling your fingers. If life gives you lemons, squeeze the juice into a water gun and shoot other people in the eyes. If no one comes from the future to stop you from doing it, then how bad of a decision can it really be? And finally...words I live by every day! LOL If you can’t blind them with brilliance, baffle them with bullsh!t. |

jasoninsd Not the list I expected to need whilst hounding rocks. But if I ever see a time traveler selling lemonade next to a port-a-jon at night, me and the dog I don't have will definitely be on notice
