My attempt at a Birthday gift lapis azuli

My wife asked me to put together a pendant for a necklace she wanted to gift, so I buffed the necklace, put it through the ultrasonic cleaner and wrapped a very fine high dome. Teardrop lapis azuli with a simple wrap to hang from the center. Going to a deer friend from church who loves the color blue and either smithed the necklace nor cut the cabochon. I simply wrapped the stone and a hung it. I hope you enjoy.

Very pretty. The necklace itself is ornate so I like that the cabochon is a solid color in a simple wrap. Sweet of you both to do for your friend. 🙂

Geez thanks ya'all, Roberta my friend loves it she has a 67 convertible Chevelle that's blue and she said it just became her cruising necklace! She's a sweetheart, her husband was a welder and car enthusiast but now for what ever reason he has fallen to dementia and she takes care of him daily with love and grace some days he's a gerk to her and she knows it's the dementia and never talks about leaving him or putting him in a home she, she's really a loving wife I respect her so much and other days Larry is like a child happy and curious. My wife likes it too it was her design but I did choose the rock shape. Lol thanks again all i have some slabs I'll post soon. Keep a look out im getting ready to lapidary my butt off.
