I think we thought Harbor Freight was getting out of the dirt cheap tumbler game when they stopped making the Chicago Electric single and dual 3 lb models recently. Good riddance, some may say. I know they had plenty of issues, but it was pretty cool to see some of the MacGyvering some folks got up to trying to make them properly functional (and then some, in some cases). I was perusing the HF website today and noticed the return of the cheap HF tumbler is upon us. It has been reborn as the Central Machinery dual rotary for the same price. Behold: www.harborfreight.com/dual-drum-rotary-rock-tumbler-59474.htmlNot sure I’d want one but maybe some folks out there would like to know it exists! Sorry if this is old news, but I didn’t think I’d seen anyone mention it yet. Happy Friday everyone!

I've actually had good luck with the HF tumbler. My son in law has a couple of them that he runs a lot with very little issue. Interesting because when I go to the website it shows the new one but if I click on the Chicago Electric model it says that will be back in stock soon at the nearby store.

I have a Chicago Electric dual-drum tumbler and it runs very well for me. When it gets squeaky I simply oil it with WD-40.

I was surprised to see both listed for $69.99. There is even a couple available about hundred miles from me.
