Nice score! Seems like you've had a lot of nice ebay scores lately... are you going to leave something for the rest of us, or are you planning on buying up every rock listed on ebay by yourself? ;D

I keep telling myself to stay away from ebay, but just like this whole rock tumbling thing, it's very addictive. I mean, it's not like I need any more rocks! I've got enough to last many years of tumbling and cabbing, but when I see something that looks cool, well, you know the story.

Beautiful rocks and a nice assortment. I really like that ocean jasper with the yellow and brown/green. That blue and brown moldy lookin one looks pretty too. Looks like you covered every color in the rainbow with that collection. Nice haul. Steve

Hey Ed, any idea what the rock is in the middle, 2nd clickable pic with the red streak through it. Looks like it's part blue. That's a pretty cool looking rock.

Hey Ed - I came so close to bidding on both of those items, especially the 10# lot. I had three auctions (4 slabs and some rough lilypad) and was thinking baout filling up a box.

Cher, that's the one rock I don't know about. I think I'll have to cut into it to see what's inside before I can ID it. Daniel, I sent rawk11 an e-mail today cuz even though I had them combine the slab in with the box of jaspers, they still charged $3.50 for shipping for it, along with $8.60 shipping and handling for the 10lbs of jaspers. I really like the Maury Mt plume agate material and I bid on every piece I see. It's pretty rare stuff, so if anybody sees any, please let me know. Here I go again, asking for more rocks!

I keep telling myself to stay away from ebay, but just like this whole rock tumbling thing, it's very addictive. <snip>. Yah, I was just teasing. I see my ebay 60 day purchase total is sitting at $160 right now, which I guess isn't too bad, except that it ignores about an equal amount of non-ebay rock purchases at rockshops and online stores. I've only got two tumblers, so my rockpile is definitely getting ahead of itself. There really is something addicting about ebaying though... the search for something you suddenly really must have (even though you never needed it before, let alone even knew it existed), then the weeklong stalking and watching/placing of bids, then the ultimate thrill of winning, especially beating out a bunch of last minute snipes. And what about the agony of defeat?.... the only cure for that of course is to replace those bad feelings with the thrill of another win. Heck, I'm not addicted to ebay. I could quit anytime I wanted, really...

I don't know much about cary plume- except for your endorsement. It looked good and I had a half full box. But as I recall the 10# of misc material a good price at around $2/lb, but did not make sense for my to bid $20 to help leverage $8 in shipping. Back when the bid was about $16 for a few days I almost bid. I glad you got it since I did not.

Ed, in the main pic, and the last clickable pic, what is that bright yellow stone with the red blob running into it? You don't see many rocks with such a vivid yellow colour.

I'm pretty sure it's Mook jasper. I don't know of any other jaspers with that type of coloring either.
