Oh my! You people are going to make this hard for me again this month. That's it, I'm writing my congressman and demanding more votes for my state. If I say I have a medical condition, like multiple personality disorder, can I get a vote for each of mes?

I didn't think I was going to come up something with orbs this month...but I'll submit this one. Not as orby as some other entries...but this is what I've got! LOL Now that is a cool pattern!! I think you have a real contender there. O love how the cross cut creates the orbicular pattern!

Just your average Bruneau! Didn't think I was going to have anything to enter this month but then I saw this guy sitting on my workbench. Picked up the slabette from a local tailgate sale just last month. I think this is possibly the first Bruneau I've ever worked. It does take a nice shine.👍 aGates Very nice. Great cut and polish on that alone.

Ok, I'm pulling the old switcheroo. I was able to get it done last night and I'd like this Orbicular Jasper to replace my Imperial, please. Slab, cab and side view. Thanks! 🙂

Okay my turn. For those wondering what I'm dune for the contest... Willow creek, slab courtesy of Matt @ sphereguy. Not saying this won't possibly get the switcheroo too, there's something else in the saw, also from Matt, that may be more appropriate IMO, but at this point I will probably be on a TNR mission with a feral cat tomorrow so we'll see.

Excellent theme and some tough competition this month! Really beautiful cabs entered thus far. I was luckily able to squeak out a cab before our daughter was born last week, I polished it with cerium oxide right before we headed to the hospital lol. This is some poppy jasper we've been digging from a new small isolated deposit. This is from a nodule I busted out of the host rock. Slab/Preform pic Great work everyone and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the entries!

I don’t know.. goldfinder… gold rush days, old timey gold panner, that’s where my brain went. Soooo, congrats on your daughter!

I stumbled across this forum at the beginning of July and I love the idea of a themed cabochon challenge. Luckily, I found a piece of Ocean Jasper that hit the orbs theme! Here are photos of my submission. The back of the cabochon is my favorite part, but given the preexisting crystal pockets I did not want to dome that side. Welcome to the forum and the contest! That has to be one of the more impressive first posts we've ever seen

Late to the party but internet connectivity problems have kept me from trying to post earlier. Weird problem! Here's my entry, from an OJ slab I acquired years ago. I forgot to shoot images of the marked slab so I'm showing the preform at the beginning of doming. Great entries so far, very competitive month. God luck to all! Face Shot #1 #2 Doming Shot Slab Side Shot Side Shot Rear Back of Cab (It's Polished)

I want to change my entry although I'm not sure how much difference it will make with some of the new entries! My question is, do I just add a new post and make clear what I want to do or do I go back and edit the post for my original entry with the new pics?
