"Fair"... Haha
I think we have already had twice the normal number of triple digit temperature days this year here in the Salt Lake City area.

Jeepers! We hit 105 the other day...and 102 today. We're more used to the 32 degree and below temps! LOL

AzRockGeek you should have come up north to the Prescott show today. Had a couple of thunderstorms and it's very pleasant outside at the moment. 84 here in Chino.

I wish I would have known about the show. I was trimming trees yesterday, did not drink enough water before I started. Had dizzy spells most the afternoon.

Show is still going on today from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. if you want to escape the heat. Findlay Toyota Event Center in Prescott Valley, off Hwy 69 and Glassfordhill Road.

Holy cow! I’ve been struggling with chronic heat exhaustion and dehydration just from mid to high 80s due to the humidity here. Even if it’s a dry heat I would probably collapse the moment I stepped outside there! *shudders at the thought*
Hope you are taking care of yourself! I’ve gotten into the habit of keeping oral rehydration solution around in the summer.

With all the heat across the country, it's odd that we are to this point having a mild summer in the Houston area. It's only reached 100 degrees 1 time this summer that I can remember. More rain and clouds this year.

Well dang, I woulda met you and carpooled it if I woulda thought of it, drove up there by myself. Then I got home to Elizabeth telling me one of my new shop walls was on the move in some really heavy wind gusts, so I ended up out there with sheet metal screws finishing what I should have done months ago. In the wind and dust. Slept really good last night...

Somehow I read the title as "... Dryhead". I shall have appreciated 81F here.

Somehow I read the title as "... Dryhead". I shall have appreciated 81F here. I did the same thing just now All in all it seems like a normal hot summer in norcal bay area. It got pretty toasty for a week or so but our natural AC marine layer is back cooling us off most evenings.

Yeah it's a dry heat until you start sweating or a monsoon storm comes up...it's been hot here in NW Arizona too but I'm glad it's not as hot as Phoenix area.

August, 2011, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The temperature was 113F with a humidity of about 74%
The "real feel" was 147F
I'll take "dry heat" any day.
@ drocknut : yeah. Monsoons make it feel like the east coast here. I'm fine with 110, but only if the humidity is 15%.
Then again the monsoons are hit and miss. We've watched Prescott get drenched several times, but have only seen one really heavy downpour early in July here.
Water still goes to the Aquafer though.

I've been told it's not the heat but the humidity that makes it bad and I would agree.
