A couple weeks ago my wife found a "Free Rocks" posting on Facebook. Someone wanted a pile of rocks from a retaining wall removed. Well what's a rock hound to do except say "Yes Please!". 2 truckloads!

Now of course this is local rock so not really tumbling material (mostly granite and sandstone cobbles), but I also am real into mini RC Rock Crawlers so this went into my home outdoor course!

The family that had this would like me to take down the rest of the wall, so this fall I'm hoping to take the tractor over there and start working on the rest of it (They get the wall removed, I get free rock- WIN WIN)

I can't tell if thats some Gneiss Schist, or that Schist is Gneiss. All I know is don't take it for Granite
