Suuure go ahead and make me jealous! Always loved the MN state fair. Haven’t been there in 25 years! Can you still find everything possible on a stick? 🤣
My family always had “happenings” books. The MN state fair to me always included chuckwagon chicken Swiss, buckets of famous Amos, and some warm RC cola.
…. That makes it sound pretty awful lol.

Lol, yeah they have expanded the food on a stick to pretty much everything. Deep fried candy bars, pizza, bacon etc. this year they had deep fried ranch... Like ranch dressing. I didn't attend but saw lots of posts. The rock show will be at the same location but not actually during the state fair so I'll pack a sandwich 😅

I think I am going tomorrow. The plans I have are for later in the day so why not? I will try to make myself recognizable.

The show was bigger than every this year. If you're in the area, definitely check it out tomorrow. Good to see you and your sphere Mark K ! I was left unattended and accidentally bought a couple agates...

And I found enough money to pay for the gas to go there.

And I found enough money to pay for the gas to go there. I sorted through one of those buckets. I knew they weren't going to be top notch but was a bit disappointed at how many were severely fractured. Never seen anything like it. Almost like who ever had originally tried tumbling them intentionally tried to break them up or came from a mine where they put them through a crusher or something. Still two buckets to go!

My "tumble for 50/50 split" friend went to the show and bought a small agate for $75 (it's smaller than a quarter) ... it has crystals in a pocket and a tiny rose quartz trapped in a seam ... I wish I had asked him if I could take a photo of it last night. It's a BEAUTY ! I forget the name other than it starts with an "F" and is the name of the area they come from and it's one of the really sought after agates.
Also wish I had known he was going to the show ... I could have tagged along.

I am working on a small vacation to the Fairburn areas. When is the best time to go there?
