Someone asked me on reddit to post pics of the river crossing agate I cut so I figured I'd share them here as well since I can describe them better here (I get lost between typing and posting pics over there and don't know how to do captions). Anyways, these came from highland park lapidary. I bought one pound and it came with two medium size rocks and one smaller. I cut one of the medium and the small. First two pics are the front and backside of one of the end pieces. I had intended to just do a face polish but ended up with a lopsided cab as the back looked cool as well! Next two pics are the other end cut (front and back). Same thing happened, I ended up with another lopsided cab... Next is a group photo of most of them (and the actual cabochons I've made out of this material). I might maybe post some up close pics in the cabochon subforum, if you want to see them better just lmk! The next pic is the top most slab in the group shot being backlit: Next up are the two end cuts off the smaller stone from the lot. These were polished in my mt4 vibe. I really like the one on the bottom. I don't know how to classify it but its got alot of detail going on in there! The final pic is the other slabs off the medium size rock. Not worked at all yet and just shown wet. These will make stunning pieces, im going to have a hard time cutting preforms out of them, might just polish them as slabs and they could be used as coasters or just display pieces. What do y'all think I should do with them? As always, thanks for looking
