Growing up I had so much trouble with Phillips screws, I thought they were part of a communist plot to destroy America.

I like the Phillips with the hex head because that way I don't have to screw with the Phillips and it never gets ruined!

The best screw, is a nail If all you have is a hammer, everything is a nail!! My gutter was sagging out by my rock saws. Saw where a nail had backed out. Too lazy to go into garage and get a hammer. Grabbed a thunderegg nearby and used that.

I'm a star (torx) guy. What is the problem with electrical code requiring flatheads, who bought them off? Now, that's a conspiracy. All square heads promptly go in the trash upon removal, no commie canuck screws for me...

The best screw, is a nail My uncle Dee Johnson told me the threads on lag bolts are for taking them out, not for putting them in!

You missed the JIS screw, they are the cross head ones that look like a Philips head but have a dot punched into the head near the cross. they are in most electronic stuff. If you have ever wondered why the screws in electronic stuff are hard to get out or strip the slot with a Philips driver it's because they aren't Philips at all, the angles are very similar to Frearson. With the proper driver they are much better than Philips.
