Hi all. I won these 2 laguna's on ebay and they arrived today. I didn't realize that the faces were semi polished, but that isn't gonna stop me from cutting these babies up. These are both half nodules. This one is 4"Lx2"Hx1 1/2"deep You can see right inside this one, almost like it's 3-d This one is 3 1/4"Lx2 1/2"Hx 2" deep. So, what do you think?

Hey Ed, do you think those fractures in that 2nd one are going to be a problem? That would be a real shame, it's such a gorgeous stone.

I checked the backside of the nodule and the fractures don't seem to go all the way through, but the first slab will probably fall apart. But that's okay because the piece is big enough that even if it breaks apart, the pieces will still make some nice sized cabs. Okay, now I'm curious, gotta go slice that sucker.

Number two . . . no contest. But it's all cracked so just whack it and tumble it. This is when a slab grabber and a very thin blade earn their keep. Cab pics tomorrow?

Holy crap, those are beautiful! Nice big suckers too.
I like the second one best, forget the fractures, just polish the face and you've got a fantastic specimen.

Yea, that's kinda how it's felt around here lately Tim, but that's okay, I'm still just a kid at heart and I still like Christmas. Don, too late, I already cut a slab off the second one and found out the fractures are still in the rock. If I get some time tomorrow, there will be cabs to show you all.

Wow, I thought that was druse in the top one! You're saying that's solid transparent crystal all the way through? That's sweet!
