Well I did some slabbing of the Cathedral agates today, cut into all 3 of the pieces. Wow, such a cool looking agate. This is the rest of the first one. This one was totally different inside. A cab from the second one The third piece And a cab I highly recommend Stoneage Industries, they really do have some great rough material.

Cher: Brad Cross lists a cavern environment near San Carlos, Mexico ( south of Lajitas in the Big Bend National Park, Texas region) as the location for this material.....mel

Thanks everyone, man, I really like this agate. And that pretty much answers your question Kim. Right now, this is my favorite agate, along with the Texas plumes, Maury Mt plume, well, all agates I guess.

Those slabs in pic 1 just about jump off the screen. Have you cabbed that one yet, Stoner? Time to find that Stoneage website.

Hey Rich, you bet I cabbed that first one, and the second one, and the third one! I posted them in the cab section last week. Stoneage has 2 grades of this stuff but they say the only difference is the size of the rocks. I got the #2 grade this time, but someday I may get a pound of the #1 grade. It's expensive, but well worth it.
