Well I thought I may as well end 2006 with a bang, or at least a couple of eye poppers. So here are 2 Boulder Opals and a Fire Agate Same one, Upside down And a Fire agate I'm working on trying to put together a deal to get my hands on a large amount of Koroit Boulder Opal. If all goes according to plan, I will be able to offer a flat rate box for $75+$9 shipping, so $84 would get about 15-20lbs of Koroits. Before I go too far, I would like to know if there would be an interest in this. I'll also post this offer in the Buy and Sell section. Have a Happy and Safe New Year's Eve everyone.

Thanks everyone, I thought these were festive enough to end the year with.
Okay, it seems there is an interest in these Koroits so when I find out all the details I'll post something in the Buy/Sell section.
This is how this material was described to me. "Low grade boulder opal with possible suprises. There are going to be some waste and some garbage rocks but the value is there." I've cut into quite a few pieces of this stuff and you all have seen the surprises I've come across, so to me, it is well worth the money. It would only take a couple of primo cabs to recoup your money.

Ed, how many suprise spots like you've shown us would you estimate (I know it would vary) might be in a box. About how many rocks/pounds did you get and how many of them had nice areas.
Since I don't sell cabs, I don't pay for the box with one or two cabs. I pay for my box in the hours of enjoyment I get working the material, and cutting a lot of messy ironstone might not deliver all the fun. Maybe I should buy smaller proven parcels - even if they cost more.
Anyway, keep us updated on the arrrangements.

Those cabs are stunning! I just love boulder opal. I think it's great to work and surprises usually lie within each piece. I sent ya a pm Ed. Great ending to 2006!! Tonja
