Okay, now even little kids are putting me to shame. I have got to learn how to cab! How wonderful to help the children have such a memorable experience while visiting you. Does any one else see a little red fox (upside down) in Sophia's cab? Lady B

I think those youngsters are well on their way to the happy hobby of rockhounding! They've done some beautiful cabs, and I'm sure they all had a blast. Thay all look fantastic but I have to say Sophias takes the cake. Nice job kids. Steve

Wow. Those kids sure put me to shame. It's so good to get kids interested in our hobby at a young age. I start a cabbing class at the end of the month. Hope I can do as well as they did.

OK, I have to ask, because those look great! How did you do that? Did the kids go from a pre-formed, unpolished piece, already formed to fit in the settings, and you helped them polish? Are those glue-on settings, for which you have templates? How fun! You ROCK! Bet the kids were thrilled, and your friends really appreciate the rock intro. (They will have their first tumbler withing 2 weeks, right?)

Thanks All, I do love to share with the kids! Very important to establish relationships and have common ground to stand on. We had hours of fun and conversation! Karen, I had those glue in setting left from a hobby class I taught at church this summer. Each child picked a slab and we mark their shape with a template. Cut preform on WF, grinded, sanded and polished. Then we glued into the setting. They were thrilled. john
