Does anyone else have a worry stone? Here is mine that I keep at my desk. She fits perfectly between my thumb and forefinger and I am worried (ha!) that I will rub right through the bubbles of this fire agate. This is a piece that me and Mrs. BAZ found in Oatman, AZ when we first got into stones. It was the best of the batch of fire agate tumbles and I still "ooh and ahh" whenever I pick her up. Geez, am I sounding creepy!?!?!

Hmmm... great idea. I don't have one either at the moment. In fact I don't think that I could keep one big enough on my desk to help me I do tend to worry a LOT! LOL! Last PS. Very nice piece of fire agate, just got into it myself & in fact have received a very generous parcel from another member here. Am working on returning the favor!

oooo, i have several, mainly the cabs i've won from other people. i have some from Sands, Stoner, Randy and Tweetie. i keep them in my pockets when i go to the dentist (weird, huh?)
but i don't call them "worry stones" i call them "lucky" or "power" stones.

That is a nice lookin' worry stone Baz. KD sent me one of her "lucky" stones when I was living in Oregon. I took it with me rockhoundin', and sure enough it did it's job. True story; found 3 arrowheads in one day. Couldn't believe it. I usually put one of several I have in my pocket whenever I go out rockhuntin' or hiking. I am a Believer! Steve

I used to carry a "worry" stone in my pocket when I was working as a therapist. If a patient was particularly apprehensive about the treatment program, I would share my worry stone and pretty soon we would be talking about the stone--color, texture, cool temp--and before the patient had time to worry any more we would be well into the treatment. I gave away many of them through the years. I also suggested my students carry them when they were going on a job interview or starting a new clinical internship. I must be a very convincing person because 99% of the time, the "worry" stones vanquished the worries.
I have a couple of worn-smooth stones that I have here and there in my home. It feels good just to rub my thumb in the hollowed area--even if I'm not worried. I like the idea of thinking of them as "power" stones.

I have a few. My fav. is a piece of crazy lace that has this indentation on one side that my thumb fits perfectly. Ahh, it make those boring "team meetings" go soooo much easier.

Very nice fire agate. I do have the odd smooth stone in my pocket while rockhounding, it just feels great when the hand meets the pocket at times, until too many stones have joined the smooth one

I've got a small piece of Bloodstone that ended up the perfect size for a worry stone. I keep it in the change pocket of my Jeans. Dean

I like to carry the stone I have been polishing or one I'm about to. I call it a grateful stone. When I touch it in my pocket I think of something I'm grateful for. But yours is very pretty. Raquel

That's what I have, one of KD's power stones. It's called Mojo Working and is very special. And let me tell you, that point is sharp as a tack ...

I have one that has a natural thumb size indention. It's just a rock and nowhere near what you have there. Great fire!
I used to keep it in my pocket, but I was worried I might loose it.

I got a whole house full of them (I'm a worrier, what can I say). Actually if I feel the need for a rock the keep me company I pick one up. It varies. Sometimes its a recent cab I'm proud of or a particular stone I'm attached to. I have one I found when I was a kid that I eventually got around to polishing that I like.
Lady B, my wife is a therapist and she gives out rocks to her clients all the time. She gives rocks to suit people's personalities she says. Steve
