This is my third time working with my saw. I cut up a bunch of stuff for the tumbler and these attempts at cabs. Thanks for looking.

Great colors and shapes. The two on the far right would make great pendants. I can't believe how much better all you newbies are nowadays. Boy my first stuff was terrible and I ain't that great even after all these years *L*.....mel

They all look good to me but I especially like the grenn one in the center of the bottom row and the multi-toned yellow in the upper.
Great work for only your third time!

Very nice shapes. And that deep green color is astonishing!
"I can't believe how much better all you newbies are nowadays." He might be a newbe in rocks, but he's an artist in wood. Have a look on his site.

You've got some nice looking "attempts" there. Love the colors.

What do you mean "attempts"? THose look great to me. That big oval one looks really nice. Are they going in the tumbler too? Steve

nice cuts Tony! I agree with Mel..the two on the far right are my favs. Did you just cut these shapes out of the blue??? or did you have a template?? Also, it looks like the oval is almost beveled. You're definitely well on your way to excellence. Steve

Thanks for all the compliments. I just wung it on the shapes with the exception of the oval, I drew that pattern on first. I've gotten a lot of inspiration on shapes from this group. All of the edges are beveled on the WF. All will end up in the tumbler with the exception of the bottom right one. That stone is some conglomerate like stone, sandy stuff in softer stuff, and I will try stabilizing and then hand cabbing. Its too soft for the vibe. I found that rock in some fill that was brought in to fill up our abandoned swimming pool.
Lady, the yellow toned one in the upper right is epidot I found in a local parking lot, its not that yellow just a bad pic.
Adrian, thanks for the compliment on the woodturnings. The deep green is malachite (I think).
