I've been selectively working on my black druze pieces to uncover the most crystals on each piece without ruining the specimen quality. For the most part it has worked out well. The wood pretty much breaks where you want it to. I broke a piece in half today and found this neat Toredo Clam bore hole filled with tiny blue and black druze. Thanks for looking! Curt

That stuff looks cool to me. I love the piece I got. It is being displayed on my wife's plate rack at the moment since it is my only speciman piece. john

That piece is so cool, Curt - you really hit the jackpot with that find! Have you been back out to the place you found it? I wonder if there are more pieces around that area with some of the same characteristics. Amazing stuff.

Cool piece and a nice cut. I'm sure the pics don't come close to doing it justice.

Thank you flintfish. The wood did most of the work, I just was lucky enough to place the chisel in the right place.
Onewomanarmy The log this came off of is still going into the ground. I don't know how long the log is, but I certainly am going to find out when it gets cooler. :-) I will also comb the entire area with a magnifying glass to see if any more logs or pieces are sticking out of the ground.
Tony You got that right! I wish someone would have a horrible photographer contest. I could win that one!
Thank you all for your kind remarks!
Curt
