Ok - so there's been a shortage of pictures as Randy pointed out...which sucks for those of us who are living vicariously through all of you talented people! So...I was thinking...It seems that every time I get on this board and I look at the latest pictures of what everyone has been working on, I find a new "favorite" rock - the next one I want to get, or one I want to see more of. That got me wondering, what everyone's all time favorites are - I'm sure a lot of you have revolving (or would that be evolving?) favorites - but what are some of your all time favorites? I'd love to see pictures - whether a piece of rough, something you've created, or just a picture you drool over from somewhere else. I realize it's hard to narrow it down - so how about top three at most. Bottom line - What are your favorite 3 rocks - whether because of most striking in color, design, features, ease of working - or one you just haven't been able to get your hands on and it makes you drool thinking about it. ;D Let's see some pictures!

Thanks for the thread OWA! Since I don't do cabs or anything like that at the present, I'll have to show my favorite specimen. Until I found the black druze, this was my all time favorite find...And it ain't wood believe it or not! This is a 5 pound chunk of tube agate I found at WWR in the late 70's. Curt

Curt, I can see why that is one of your favs! That looks like something you'd find from a different realm. Steve

Best use for 'ol Sponge Bob! Wow, thanks for the fix! You all have some amazing pix! Mine will seem pretty boring after those, but.... Looking at your last 3 pics, I think I do have a piece of pet wood. I posted a week or so ago with lots of pix, but here you go again: I thought this was not pet wood but now I'm not sure: And, this is a pic of my 16-year old son, Matt, who has an entry in the Mermaid contest. Ya'll go vote! (for whoever you want!) He's going to kill me, he doesn't think that's a 'cool' pic!

With a name like Condor, what might you think my favorites are? Also among my favorites are any of the Argentinan agates that Patogonianstar posts. Here are a few of them: These Condors were given to me, and my family by Stoner. Just a bunch of tumbled Condors. Some I saw at the Tucson Show. I'm also very partial to these Woodwards I collected and polished from the ranch. These Brazilians also tickle my fancy. Condor

Ok OWA you do know you're trying to make my head explode right? Thought about this all afternoon and pawed through a ton of slabs going back and forth, forth and back. So many slabs I love. And dang, I finally had to just quit stewing on it a pick my top five from what I looked at. *L* So here y'all go: Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper ( Uvas Creek Jasper) with a huge poppy: One of my favorite Dryhead Agate slices ( see the red roadrunner in the corner?). Dug this one myself years ago. Kabamby Jasper from Madagascar. Gotta love this stuff! A slice of strange and very beautiful Arizona petrified wood that Daniel was nice enough to swap me. I've looked everywhere and cannot figure out the species so I'm now thinking its a wood cast replaced with some kind of plume agate (kinda like Marston Jasper). And finally, my butterfly slabs of Wingate Plume. Difficult material to cab but oh so pretty!

Very tough to choose... I'm not sure if this is really my absolute favourite, but it is definitely up there with the best of them.... a 4 lb rough piece of early-dig ocean jasper. Dry: Wet:

Here are a few of my prize rocks. I'm not selling these, just yet. Some chrysocolla with gem silica and a couple other pieces of gem silica. These were in the bottom of a box that I got a yr. ago, that I didn't even know whrere there. I got the whole estate for a great deal.

I had one great favorite until I hit that WWR agate vein! I think this is some sort of Brazilian but I am not sure. It is just way to cool! and now, of course, is my latest find at WWR!

Here are five of my favorite rocks. All of them are woods. A piece of opalised wood: A red "feather": One of my first slabs I've cut and polished. Its resembling to a rat is obvious, so I "helped" it with a tiger eye (sorry, I didn't find a rat eye : A piece of pet wood that looks a lot like a real wood, and also took a great polish: And an icon (St. George) made from a piece of the wood above. The base is also pet wood. Adrian
