Rocky, those are certainly the finest Lake Superior agates I've ever seen. I was thinking along the same lines though -- fortification agates are right up there at the top of my list. You've stolen the show for Lakers, so I'll add Laguna agates as another fine fortification agate: A close-up: Oh heck, let me add in a Botswana pic, another superb fortification agate:

Lovely Botswana's and that Laguna is sweet (al I right thinking that's Laguna California? Only know from motor sports fame) but Rockgibraltair stole the show - Awesome Lakers! Thanks

These are my 5 personal favorites of mine. All are collected through scuba diving in Big Sur California. They are all Nephrite jade. The first is a 230 lber that took 2 days to drag out of the ocean and 200 hours to polish. These 3 are naturals, the ocean did all the work. This is a Vulcan botryoidal hand polished piece, probably my favorite of all.

Ricardo & Claudia...yup...if I had those, they'd be my favorites too! Here's one of mine... "killer green thunderegg" from Oregon. Snowdog has it's brother!

*gasp* *swoon* *drool* WOW - I was hoping for some spectacular pictures but these....man...wow. Curt - that thing looks absolutely alive - er...not from these parts though! That's so cool and unusual - never seen anything like it! I can see how that one would really stick with you as a favorite. Aside from that - everything else listed here is just stunning - the pendants, the surrealite, the condors, ocean jaspers, of course ANYTHING of Stoners!, the lagunas, the chrysocolla, the thundereggs, the wood, the jade and then Ricardo and Claudia's stuff - I've not seen one piece of what they find that I would part with! Of course I could say that about just about any piece in this thread... I just keep going back and looking and looking and finding a new favorite each time I go through. Sorry for the exploding head Mel - I've seen enough to know that this would be tough for some of you! I guarantee you that I have no complaints with the ones you did post though! That dryhead agate - it's really been catching my eye lately - are you the one who did a cab with some of that? Can't remember now... It's beautiful - so striking in color/contrast and sharpness - really catches my eye! Might be my favorite. Today. Well, at 1:08 pm EST anyway. ;D Beautiful pieces all around - I'll be revisiting this thread a lot! Now, back to drooling over the pictures.
