After several months of my tumblers being silent I was finally able to finish the final polish on my batch the I had to stop in May.

Neat tumbles. I'm especially intrigued by the emeralds; I didn't know emeralds could be tumbled like that! Hope your tumblers don't go silent on you again.

Cool looking batch. It always amazes me that when I tumble a pile of different stones for the kiddie treasure chest at our gem show, the first thing they always go for are the quartzes like your clear massage crystals and the blue quartz and that's what I like best in your batch. Guess I'm just a big kid!......mel

The reason my tumblers were silent is because I went on my annual TX vacation trip and my mother didn't want to worry about something happening to them while I was gone and then around 4th of July we went our annual CO vacation and I didn't want them running while I was gone. I bought some rough emerald off of e-bay, they had alot of matrix on them so I decided to just run them in the tumblers until most of the matrix came off. Here is a closer look at the emeralds by themselves. My mother has clained the larger one. The scan doesn't do them justice the shine on them is incredible. The clear quartz are called massage crystals because they are big enough to comfortably hold in your hand and use to massage sore spots. Plus you have the power and energy of the crystal to help relax someone's muscles. I noticed that the kids go for the quartz as well. I did have a good birthday. Tami

Much better view of the emeralds in the close up, thanks. Nicely done, the real gem of that lot (to me at least) is the small oval one that has no inclusions, located at about at about 1 or 2 o'clock in the close up picture. It's a real beauty! -Don

I agree with Don, the litle oval one stands out. But the one in the bottom-left (light green) is also beautiful.

Those emeralds are cool - but I like the smokey quartz, nice batch!
I can't wait for my next batch to be finished - Probably 6 weeks to go yet though.
