I haven't taken any pics of my shop because its kind of everywhere. Yard, garage, basement. I will post some here though. NMrocks, I like your license plate on the wall. Are any men normal?

That was the year that I met my wife. Coincidence? I think not!

Spirit, I love it. Looks like controlled chaos. Which is what mine looked like before I spent 2 weekends cleaning and organizing.

After seeing all these great rock working places I thought it was time to post photos of my currently pathetic setup. Here are my 4 tumblers (thanks akansan & catmandew) sitting on my garage floor. My vibe and other assorted stuff on my garage floor. This is also where I store the saw. Me at my sawing station. Can you say backache, sure, I knew you could. All my rock storage (thanks snowdog, connrock, spirit stone, desertdweller, buildonrock, catmandew, akansan, Joe Z and anyone else I might have missed thanking) The table where my new (well new to me) cabber is going to reside in my basement shop once I clean up the bench. And I had to sneak in a pick of my lathe, sorry. Some of you own pieces made on here, others will sometime in the near future. Thanks for looking, and not laughing, at least not out loud. ;D

Cool Tony, hey, we all have to set up where we can. But if I were you, I'd build a bench for the WF! Love the stand you built for your lathe, which is a very nice lathe by the way. Have you thought about making stands for sphere's? I bet you could make a killing selling them to sphere collectors.

WOW! Seing all these workshops is so exciting. Tony--neat set-ups, but please, get that WF up to higher setting so you don't hurt your back muscles. They are the most fragile muscles in the body and once injured, they haunt for the rest of their lives!
Bob and I got one of those cool storage bin units that Baz has in his workshop. We have a big shed out back where we plan to grow our own workshop. It has no water, no electricity, and no windows (a tad unbearable during the Florida sumertime) but eventually we will get it converted into a workable place. Until then, I can just go visit my growing rock pile in its neat bins. Once we get it set up I'll post some pix.

Stoner, I have turned some stands but only for my wooden spheres. I have about 125 spheres each out of a different wood species in my collection with about 150 more species of wood in the shop waiting to be turned. I'm not much of a production turners so making stands wouldn't be be very lucrative. Besides I like making one-off pieces much better. Lady B, I have one in my garage but I like to cut in the sun. Will cut in there come winter though. Rich, the tray is multi-tasking.

I thought y'all might like a walk down memory lane. Here's a newbie's set-up: Yep, that's it. A few Bluebell sherbert containers, a snail strainer, my 3-lb Thumler, and my one and only (unfinished) batch of rocks. ;D huffstuff

That smilin' snail just made my morning! Oh, me too, me too! I love it! It's the simple things in life that are so often the very best!!! Amy, I sure hope some more rocks find their way to your workshop real soon. Those little pebbles look awfully lonely. I'm searching though my own rock pile later today. It has grown quite a bit since I joined RTH. Some rocks were specifically sent my way so I could share them with another Newbie. Looks like I found the right Newbie today. Gosh, I just LOVE that happy little snail! Lady B...
