I don't want to bore you with a bunch of fish again, but this is what I came up with today. I plan on doing about 10 fish bowls for Christmas Gifts this year, and I'm well on my way to being able to accomplish this. I only have one problem....all my fish look pretty much the same; as far as character goes. So, I have a Flat Rater (about 19lbs) filled with Whole Dugway Geodes; from golf ball size to just bigger than baseball. I would like to trade this box in exchange for some already polished fish. I don't need them until around Thanksgiving, but if anyone's willing to help me out; PM me your best offer. Like I said, I just want more uniqueness than just my fishies. BTW; I am leaving tomorrow morning for an out of town job until Friday. I won't be able to respond to any PM's until I get back. Thanks in advance. Steve

You do a nice job on your fish Steve. Sorry I can not help you. I never did fish before. But with your offer you should get a lot of replies. Daniel

Hmmm, I think I know who that fish expert might be... The rough fish look fine to me except I think the little gaps would not smooth or polish well even in a vibe. I tried to just draw a fish outline on a slab once and gave up after about 1/2 an hour because it just didn't look right.

Steve, I do not pre-draw my fish..I litterally just start cutting..the shape comes to me as I am working on my saw. I have a batch of fish in my tumbler in the polish stage now. PM me when you get back and lets talk. thanks Steve

More great fish Steve. I remember when I first got into woodworking, it was to carve fish. I was so anal that I had to trace actual profiles of fish into the computer and print out templates. They came out very good looking but lifeless. You seem to have a lot of creativity in the shape department.

That's a nice group of fish there, Steve. I don't think they are boring at all. Each one seems uniquely shaped and the variety of color is great. I hope this offer helps you fill those fishbowls. Mary

actually, all my fish share smilar profiles....but since you can only fit so many into a bowl, i don't think it gets too boring. i think your recipients will be amazed. i put mine together like a DIY kit, when you get back, i can tell you more.
