I love the swirly pattern of the first rock. I'd love to see a slice of that. As far as the last goes I've read that tourmaline grows in quartz. So does rutile and that is black also. Could be either.

That first nodule looks like an Ocho Geode to me, but I've never seen the outside of one, only the insides after cabbing. Pretty stuff, though!

Great looking stuff! I like the first one best also. Looks like it has some nice little crystals in it.

I just looked up Ocho geode on the internet and it does look like that - thanks Akansan for the heads up!!

could be tourmaline erbo...maybe also could be a type of rutile. (I'm sure someone who knows better than I will let ya know!)

Wow Erbo - those are magic! I like the grey swirly asteroid! Excellent looking rock, really freaky nobbly crust on the outside, very cool looking! That sonora is lovely too, very nice stuff. Thanks for showing the pics, always good to see what your all up to.
