Hello, everyone!
I'm back from the vacation in Lesbos (Lesvos) Island. We had a two weeks dream vacation there! All was beautiful, especially the petrified forest!
But let me show you some pictures from the hundreds I've token there:
You can't miss the petrified forest:
Finally, I'm there!
The longest tree in the forest, about 20 m length:
A really big one
A tall one (no, it's not an ancient temple column, it's a pet tree)
Interesting colors on that one:
A break is a must on such a heat
My daughter enjoyed a lot this one having a lot of red a nd pink:
After the tour of the park, I was exhausted, I think I drunk almost 2 liters of water.
There is another area, close to the sea, with other pet trees. there are trees even on the beach and into the sea:
But not only the petrified forest was great, the beaches were also breath-taking. Look, an endless beach just for us!
I also found a beach with jasper and agate pebbles, and I managed to pick some:
By the way, look in the competition area because it will be a contest there.
We enjoyed sea food, Greek food, and, of course...
... ouzo! Cheers!
It was beautiful, at least as beautiful as that sunset:
And for being all perfect, when we returned home I found not one, not two, but three packs with rocks from you:
- a pack with a great variety of pet wood slabs from Daniel;
- a pack with wood chunks (the king among them being the black drusy wood) from Curt;
- and last but not least, a pack that I almost forgot about, a gorgeous palm wood slab from Jeff.
Thanks the senders for these packs, thanks all of you for looking and you are invited to join the contest in the competition area.
Adrian
