Hi Rockitt, I've never cut Opal before, so I'm not sure what the variance is. But I think it comes in several forms, some of which are semi opal, it may be opalised.... something lol as opposed to opal... Hope this helps a little, I'm sure there will be more to come from the experts Thanks very much for posting the photos, it's really great to see everyones different rocks. Cheers, Harry

that one with the blue end is cool ;D...i have some similar peices with traces of blue....but i havent found any as transparent as that 1...mostly chert type white...with blue mixed in....that 1 is nice.
i do suspect its chalcedony though....wish i could find the other end of that blue peice ;D...maybe someone else will come along with more expertise....why is this page stretched so bad yaw?...kev.
