Have I got some pics for you! ;D
The RTH bluebird of happiness stopped at my house yesterday when the mail carrier dropped not one but TWO FRBs on my front porch.
I had such fun opening them and sorting them and rinsing them (don't worry, I don't dump the water down the sink!) Even my 5-yr-old was impressed, for the first 15 minutes that is.
Take a look at what I got from kap
First, a great mixture that includes enough pet rock for its own tumble, some crazy lace, picture jasper, quartz, and --uh-- that pretty golden brown stuff with all of the layers.... (newbie)
I recognize more picture jasper and maybe thundereggs?
Picture jasper, more golden layers (sounds like a candy bar), pet wood, something in the middle that looks like a burned piece of pet wood (I don't know how else to describe it), and other cool stuff with colors and crystals. Help, anyone?
And to put a great big "bow" on that beautiful package, or icing on that cake, he sent an Indiana geode, thunderegg, some Lake Superior agates, and some apache tears! I could tell they were special, it was the only bag that was labeled! (That's gentle teasing, kap. I know it's good practice for me to ID everything else).
[glow=red,2,300]BUT THAT'S NOT ALL![/glow]
Take a look at what I got from raqy
A tumble's worth of chrysocolla!
A bunch of obsidian, a chunk of mariposite, Morgan Hill poppy jasper, and a few other pretties...
A bunch of pre-tumbled stuff for practice and fill and whatever...
And some jadeite and chinese writing rock! Does anyone see the clipper ship in the close-up of the jadeite?
Not to mention a gorgeous ocho geode that is just too hard to photograph...
My snail is so happy! Thank you, thank you, thank you to kap and raqy .
I must add a hilarious postscript -- my daughter saw the geode and thunderegg and said to her father "we need a rock saw Daddy!" I promise, I did not coach her! ;D
