I hear a lot of married men and women complaining about their respective spouses. "He doesn't this..." "She's always that..."
I consider myself one of the truly lucky ones. I am blessed with an incredible husband--he has stuck by me and with me for over 35 years--through the thin and now a lot thicker; through some deep, deep sorrows, and some Everest-high joys.
He tolerates my moods and supports my enthusiasms. He doesn't bring me flowers--he knows I can even kill silk plants with my brown thumbs! He listens, and even when he isn't LISTENING, he knows just when to nod his head or say: "Yes, dear."
He has given me so many wondrous gifts over the years. Other women have sometimes looked askance at the gifts--baseball cards because I couldn't have them as a child 'cause they were for boys; chocolate-covered cherries because they are one of my favorite treats; a computer or two to support my designing efforts and my educational pursuits; and so many, many more things too numerous to list.
Today, he gave me a WONDERFUL gift! He's watched me grow more and more excited as my rock pile has grown and he has helped me switch stones from tumbler to tumbler (we have five now) as they progress through the various stages of grinding and polishing. And today, an FRB arrived from the Rock Shed, filled with ceramic pellets, and grits from 60-90 to 1000 to AO polish!
He ordered all of that for me so I can pursue this hobby and be happy tumbling. And he did it because after all these years he is such a romantic and I am blessed by his love.
Here is just a sampling of my FRB of Love!
I love you, Mr. B.
