Looking at the first pic, I'm almost sure it's pet wood. The patterns on the slabs don't have the classic look for pet wood, but they are so beautiful!

Wellit's certainly stump like! Is it some form of opalised wood? The white pearly looking material is awesome! I love those "shattered and glued" type rocks, they look all crazy and unpredictable. Are you goint to try tumbling? or is it cabbing stuff? Absolutely beautiful, thanks for sharing Daniel, I really enjoyed that!
Cheers,
H

You named it well because it certainly looks enchanting to me. Have to agree with KD re: the drool factor and the cabs. Really looking forward to seeing outcome pix on these!

I don't know. I think you probably need to send it to me for a proper indentification.
Nice wood! :-) I have some similar from WA state and I love it.

Thanks all for the wonderful comments! I will probably polish a couple slabs whole and the rest for cabs. Tonja, I don't have a basement and that is my excuse for having rock in every room of my house. LOL Curt pics more pics! John, sure like to see some pics of your Nevada wood. Lady B, you don't have time to drool, you need to be working on contests. LOL Nancy, your whisper sounded like a shout on this end. Tony, it seems I read you had a cabber and still no pics of cabs. We'll probably give you one more day before we have the vote to kick you off the site. LOL SnB, glad you joined, I think we can learn a lot from you! Adrian, thank you for your response, as it means a lot coming from such a wood lover as yourself. KD, in the future I maybe looking for someone to send some slabs to in exchange for half the cabs. My cabbing skills have a lot to be desired. Stefan, thank you so much for the ID. I definately will be looking out for Wiggins and Barbywood! And Harry you are such a diplomat. A diplomat is a person that can tell you to go to h-ll in such a way that you look forward to the trip. LOL Cheers, Daniel

Ouch! I've only had a cabbing machine for a week and don't even have a motor and I'm gonna be booted.
