Howdy folks, Here are a couple of kinda odd ones. I like agates with inclusions and the second example has the oddest inclusions I've ever seen. Don't really know are they are but they are interesting. Thanks for lookin....Mel MY buddy gave me this piece and it came from our favorite site in the north Cady Mountains. It kinda couldn't decide whether to be plume, flame or moss but I really like the white plumes at the top of the slice. This is Gem Hill Agate from near the Tropico Mine at Rosamond, CA. Material from this site is supposed to be wood and palm replacement but this looks kinda like bog and the inclusions sure do look like little root replacements in honey colored agate. Really strange stuff. Some of the larger pieces I have look to have big palm roots scattered through them but are quite unlike the palm from other California sites I've hunted. Closer view of some of the inclusions. Very weird!

The "Honey Root" (technical term) ;D is very interesting. I like it!

Thanks Mel. The top one certainly has a little bit of everything going on. The second one is strange, cool though. I see what you mean about the roots.
