Wow Mike!! Those are some fabulous wood tumbles! The grain pattern really stands out on a few of them - and great color as well. Terrific job!!

That's the sort of candies I'd like to have for breakfast every day! But apparently, my candies are still floating (hopefully) somewhere on the Ocean. Amazing colors, wooden structure and glow! I like very much how you shaped them, they are so elegant!

These rocks look great Mike!!! How long have they been in the tumbler for? Are they from chinchilla?

Mike
Great shine! Love the grain patterns! That middle cab in the last pic is to die for.
How long did it take to grind those babies? The wood here in Texas takes a minimum of 8 weeks and most of it even longer. I've given up tumbling wood except for shaped pieces in the Lot O.

Just stunning. That aussie pet wood has some really nice colors and patterns. I really like the one the bottom left that has a dark spot in a pink area.

Breathtaking! Love that grain. I'm curious to know how long it took to tumble too.

Thanks for all the comments folks.
Adrian - I will never use seamail again! If that box does not show in the next month or so, I'll be sending another one your way...IN AN AIRPLANE!
Thanman - You know they're from Chinchilla mate! Where else? When are we gonna see some photos of the cuts we did with your pieces?
Thanman, Curt, Mitzi - I run a barrel of pet wood in 80 grit all the time. I take pieces out as they are ready and refill with new pieces. Chinchilla pet wood is really good to work with, it naturally has fairly flat and somewhat smooth sides and does not have anything lik enasty pits. However, Much of what I tumble has also been precut on my tile saw and some pieces even get a run on my handy dandy bench grinder. I admit it...I am a tumble cheat! After the 80 grit, 2 weeks in 220, 2 weeks in 600, 24 hour borax, 2 weeks in T/O or A/O polish then finish with a 24 hour borax wash. The shapes or cabs or whatever you want to call them are saw cut, grinder shaped and then join the tumbled pieces for 220 onwards.
Some of this material will be heading out to Kate (ladybeabea) in the next week or so. If you're really nice to her, she might share some with you...try asking her using a poem. LOL
