Well here is the cut from the ocean nugget. I cut the end and it is all that fit in my saw, will have to wait for a bigger saw someday to cut the rest. Here are the photos:

Definately worth all the prying and hauling. The middle looks to be a bit skinnier; could you wedge the middle cut off a big hunk and then turn the two pieces sideways or is better to go at it with a bigger saw? I only have a work force. A friend cuts my bigger stuff; so I have never used a real slab saw.

Tony, The innards of that Jade....WOW! I guess it's in the 1st stage to a very nice set of book ends. Have you ever made any book ends??? and one more question...how long did that take you to slice through that end? Steve

Larry I tried to cut it in half but it hit the side of the saw. I have the end cut thats about 5 inches thick, I will slab that sideways.
Steve that a good idea bookends. But I need a bigger saw for sure. I am saving for a 24 inch covington, it will take a few years but I will get it. It took about 20 min's to cut through this, it is really hard stuff.

That is beautiful. You just never know what you are going to get when you cut into something like that. Tami

Tony that's some great color. I didn't realize from your previous post that it was so big.
