Hello everyone! This week-end I polished two rocks on their natural surfaces. Firstly, a pet wood from Lesbos: You can see the neighbor block-house in the mirror shine of that wood. Great material, it started mirroring after 800 grit size. The second one is a local sandwich of blue agate between dark matrix: Well, that was the "shine". The ... second part is about the "cannonball" I found in my recent trip. I encased it in plaster and cut it. The cut went fine but there was nothing interesting inside! Thanks for looking, Adrian

The first two took a great shine ;D but the cannon ball is a bummer I think KD is right. My cats look at their litter box the same way yours was looking at the "cannon ball"

What a SHINE Adrian! I can even see the small details in the bldg. next door. I really like that sandwiched agate...looks like it has some nice bandings. Too bad on the cannonball though. I hate when you think you have something totally cool, and it turns out to be a "dud". Steve

My uncle sent me a cannonball to cut, it looked exactly like yours, inside and out.
The other 2 shined up nice. You sure do that good.................Tony

Nice, Adrian. I like the free-form job on the agate.

Thank you everyone.
KD and Stonewizard, you're right, looking again at Sissi her attitude is not very optimistic.
Curt, you're right but my cabbing machine is still under construction.
Steve, that agate is my favorite too.
Tony, it's not a cannonball, it wasn't perfectly spherical. Besides, the wilderness area I found it in was never a battlefield or such, as far as I know.
